Cut straight lines tangent to two holes to make a
rectangular hole with rounded corners.

| This operation is fast if you use an air-powered
cutoff saw as shown in photo, but it could also
be done with a hacksaw.

| Deburr edges
with file or Dremel. Touch up to prevent rust.

| Notice that firewall hole is placed
high, up next to hood. This helps prevent water or leaves from
entering intake.

Duct in place. Fit can be fine-tuned by loosening three
hold-down nuts on airbox, moving airbox, then
re-tightening. Duct fits tightly between airbox and
firewall, locked against flange at top
of firewall. Duct flange sits flat against engine
side of firewall. We just snap fit ours in so that it's
easily removed to access clutch cylinder, but screws
could be put in on flange ends.
